Crossbar Tips & Tricks

Crossbar provides helpful support on its website for common topics that managers might face. Before navigating to Crossbar's content for managers and the link at the bottom of this page, please read the following as it relates to preferred practices at MWC:

  1. It is very important that managers only add Meetings and Other Events from the Team page (NOT Games OR Practices). The scheduling of Games and Practices will be handled exclusively by the MWC Scheduler, in order to ensure proper coordination and confirmation of ice times; if you notice an issue with your team schedule around Games or Practices, contact the MWC Scheduler. Otherwise, please utilize the Team page for adding things like meetings and dinners.
  2. Team managers do not need to worry about assigning jersey numbers. The Crossbar support page has a section on this topic, please ignore as jersey numbers will be managed by other MWC roles.
  3. Take note of the Crossbar instructions for displaying phone and/or email information on your Team page. When prompted, it is important that the team manager includes an email address on the team page (which will subsequently show up as an email icon that others can click on). The email icon will ensure that team matters are being properly communicated to the manager, and not other roles at MWC (e.g., opposing team managers often use this email icon to reach MWC in order to confirm games).
