About MWC

MILWAUKEE'S HOCKEY SINCE 1962

Formed in 1962, Milwaukee Winter Club (MWC) is the oldest youth hockey club in Southeastern Wisconsin. MWC serves northern and eastern Milwaukee County. Specifically, our territory includes all of Milwaukee County east of 60th Street and north of 94, except for Wauwatosa. West of 60th Street, MWC’s territory includes all of Milwaukee County North of Capitol Drive. All families from University School of Milwaukee are also eligible to play for MWC.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide opportunities to introduce and grow youth hockey from age three to fourteen in the north shore area of Milwaukee. We will create an environment for boys and girls to play at the appropriate skill level and develop a lifelong passion for the game.

CORE VALUES

  • We believe the growth of youth hockey is good for the community we live in.
  • We believe safety is critical.
  • We believe the game of hockey is fun and enjoyment should never be lost, regardless of age and level of play.
  • We believe in creating an environment that makes every player want to return next season.
  • We believe that sport, and hockey is competitive. Our goal will be to create a structure to field competitive teams that enter and compete in WAHA events, at all levels for Girls Hockey and Co-Ed Hockey.
  • We believe hockey teaches many life lessons including hard work, commitment, teamwork and sportsmanship.
  • We believe the experiences and friendship bonds created by participating in youth hockey are unique and amazing.
